Your Sturbridge Orthodontist
Meet Dr. Ferdinand Sabelis
Dr. Ferdinand Sabelis is passionate about the transformation in youth and the confidence that orthodontic treatment brings to all his patients.
Dr. Sabelis finds great joy in the dedicated journey his patients embark on, and the final outcome — a straighter, healthier smile— that reflects their hard work and cooperation is incredibly rewarding for him.
Why Orthodontics?
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Sabelis was inspired by his positive dental experiences as a child. These encounters — and the advice of a respected, admired instructor — led him to a career in orthodontics.
Following his orthodontic residency, he volunteered in a vibrant, family-oriented practice. Working with children and families and witnessing how happy and confident patients were when they had their braces removed only further fueled Dr. Sabelis’ passion for the field.

Outside of the Office
Dr. Sabelis resides in Sturbridge with his wife, Kristen, and their two daughters. When not perfecting smiles, he indulges in his love for traveling and the outdoors and especially enjoys hiking and skiing.
Dr. Sabelis is not only an orthodontist but also a musician at heart, with a particular fondness for 1980s rock.
The office echoes his musical passion, adorned with black and white photos of his favorite bands like Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, and Bon Jovi. A highlight for many patients is his occasional impromptu guitar sessions in the office. He also enjoys playing soccer in a local adult league.
