Metal braces are still the most commonly used treatment option, but they are far from the only one available. While metal braces are efficient and effective, some patients want something that is a bit more cosmetically appealing. Sturbridge Orthodontics offers metal braces, ceramic braces and Invisalign. At your initial consultation, our team will determine which treatment is right for your unique needs and your individual smile goals.
Keeping patient education at the forefront
An educated patient is an involved patient so we work to ensure our patients are educated about every step of their treatment. This starts at the very first appointment, when we discuss your treatment options with you.
We use both fixed and removable appliances to correct smiles. Fixed appliances are braces that are attached to your teeth. They remain in place throughout your treatment, and are removed once your teeth have moved to their ideal locations. Removable appliances are just that – removable. Invisalign is a removable appliance. While they work like braces, guiding teeth to their new locations, Invisalign aligners can be removed by the patient. The aligners are worn 20-22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
